comedy writer + editor,
live show producer + host, commercial + voice actor,
and recovering Midwesterner based in Brooklyn, NY.
Griffin Leeds is an Indiana-to-Brooklyn transplant who writes and performs comedy around NYC, including his weekly U Host? LGBTQ+ comedy show at The Rosemont, a beloved, award-winning queer nightlife venue in Williamsburg.
He’s performed at The Stand Up NY Comedy Club, The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, The Bell House, Club Cumming, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and Broadway Comedy Club.
Griffin is also a commercial actor and trained voice actor and has appeared in digital ad campaigns for Burger King and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.
Griffin produced The Living Your Best Life Room monthly stand up/variety show from fall of 2017 up until The Pandemic, hosting national headliners and rising stars of the scene all in his own apartment in Bedstuy, Brooklyn.
Griffin long dreamed of launching the first ever LGBTQ+ satire publication, and in March 2019 he did just that as a founder of Awf Magazine. While acting as an executive editor of this website until October of 2020, Griffin oversaw staff writers and contributors and handled satire graphics and social media. Stay tuned for his next big satire project currently in the works.
Griffin has performed stand up at Yuck Fest Indianapolis (2019), Yaaas NYC Queer Comedy Fest/Competition (2018), and Let’s Fest Fort Wayne (2018).
